Ryan White

The Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program, classified by Title XXVI of the Public Health Service (PHS) Act, and amended by the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Extension Act of 2009 (Public Law 111-87, October 30, 2009) is the largest Federal program directed exclusively toward HIV/AIDS care. The Program provides a comprehensive system of HIV primary medical care, medications and essential support services for low-income people living with HIV who are uninsured or underinsured. The Part B Program is administered by the Utah Department of Health through grants awarded to states to provide HIV care and treatment services. The UDOH Ryan White Part B program works through contracted providers to deliver services to people living with HIV/AIDS who meet eligibility requirements.

To be eligible for the Ryan White Part B Program, an individual must:

• Be HIV positive
• Reside in Utah
• Be at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) according to gross annual household income
