Vancomycin-resistant S. aureus (VRSA)
Vancomycin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (VRSA) are bacteria that are resistant to an antibiotic named vancomycin. VRSA may develop in persons with an underlying health condition, or with previous infections with the bacteria.
