Plague
Plague
Plague is a disease caused by a bacteria called Yersinia pestis. It is spread by rodent flea bites and infected animals to humans and can develop into serious infection and death. Symptoms depend on how the patient was exposed, but the most common symptoms include fever, headache, chills, and weakness. Skin and other tissues may turn black and die, and pneumonia may also develop.
Antibiotics can prevent the spread of plague and treat the effects. The earlier a patient seeks medical care, the better their chances at full recovery.
