Utah Lead Coalition

Every child tested. Every Future Secured.

The goal of the Utah Lead Coalition is to ensure no child is harmed by lead. A blood test is the only way to know for certain if your child has been exposed to lead. Verify that your health care provider is testing your child at ages 1 and 2 years or up to age 6 years if never tested. If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, protect yourself and your growing family by getting screened and tested if you think you are at risk for lead exposure.

Lead Poisoning: Silent, devastating, completely preventable.

Lead poisoning can have damaging effects on the body at low levels, but symptoms often go unnoticed until lead in the body reaches high levels. The good news is that lead poisoning is preventable.
