December 12, 2024: Lead in cookware
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a letter to businesses that distribute and sell imported cookware that some products can leach lead into food. The cookware is made from various metals including brass, aluminum, and aluminum alloys known as Hindalium/Hindolium or Indalium/Indolium.
If consumers believe that they have eaten food cooked using these products or have symptoms of lead exposure, they should contact their health provider.

Handelnine Global Limited d/b/a Navafresh is voluntarily recalling Lot Numbers CAM040 & CALO79-N of Rheumacare Capsules by Virgo UAP Pharma Pvt. Ltd. (Virgo) to the consumer level. These products are being recalled because they might be contaminated with lead. Product was distributed nationwide via www.navafresh.com. Handelnine Global Limited is notifying its distributors and customers by email of the recalled product. Consumers that have product which is being recalled should stop using and discard the product immediately.

W.W. Industrial Group, Inc., NY is recalling Parashore Pear Slices in juice, 15 oz, because they have the potential to be contaminated with elevated levels of lead and cadmium. Product was distributed through Grocery Outlet stores in California and other Grocery Outlet stores across the US. Consumers who purchased Parashore Pear Slices in Juice 15oz (425 g) should not consume the products and are urged to discard in the trash or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. SPPTTY Kids Bicycles (sold at Walmart) recalled due to risk of death or injury from lead poisoning. Consumers should stop using the recalled children’s bicycles immediately and contact Shenzhen Yihuachuang Technology for a full refund. To receive a refund, consumers should dismantle the bicycles, take a photo, and send the photo by email to [email protected]. Boyro Baby Walkers (sold exclusively on Amazon) recalled due to risk of serious injury or death to children from fall hazard and violations of the federal standard for infant walkers and lead content ban.
Consumers should stop using and disassemble the recalled baby walkers immediately and contact Boyro Baby for instructions on receiving a full refund. Consumers will be asked to destroy the disassembled baby walker and email three photos of the destroyed product to [email protected]. Once the three photos have been received, Boyro Baby will issue a refund. Boyro Baby and Amazon are contacting all known purchasers directly. More information about this recall is available here.
